With the NRL ALL STARS match between the Maori and Indigenous All Stars coming up. I thought I might give my predictions on who I think should star in the annual match.

The NRL ALL STARS match has always been an awesome way to start off the Rugby League season. After a long preseason we are all treated with a great battle between two beautiful cultures. The ALL STAR week itself has been a great way to for players of both the Maori and Indigenous teams to express and spread knowledge of their beautiful cultures.

The ALL STARS match has been a great way to show off the great talent that both the Maori and Indigenous have. Previously players like Johnathan Thurston, Greg Inglis and Benji Marshall have been at the forefront of this fixture. I'm not sure what it is but this fixture always seems to have a bit more excitement and flair to it, and I can guarantee you this year will be no different. Now let's get to the exciting part of naming my Maori and Indigenous squads.

Note: I have not included players who are injured, suspended or ruled out because of their respective teams pulling them out ie. Ponga, Gagai, Wighton, Walsh, Tohu Harris, Cody Walker, Luai etc.

Return of the World All Stars versus the new Pasifika All Stars?!?!

The All Star weekend currently only features one game but I think this could turn into a whole weekend of footy. Imagine Friday night being Maori vs Indigenous and Saturday night being World vs Pasifika. That is one hell of a footy weekend! With there being so much talent outside of Maori and Indigenous cultures I feel like another game is needed to showcase this. I think the NRL could make something really awesome out of creating an All Star weekend type approach. This would also be a great introduction for the beginning of the NRL season.
